FRP
Types of Resin:
~ Vinyl Ester ( strong chemicals)
~ Isophthalic (mild acids & sea water )
~ Ortophthalic ( general usage )
* fire retardant available if required
Advantage of F.R.P :-
~ Excellent Corrosion Resistance to range of Acids, Caustics, Chlorides, Solvents, and Oxidizers
~ Considerable savings in weight, against equipment metal systems.
~ Require no cathodic protection
~ Very high strength to weigh ratio
~ Simple and effective jointing and modification
~ Non conductive, but can made electrically conductive, if required
~ Good thermal insulation
~ High fire resistant, if required
~ Minimal maintenance and repair cost
~ Can be moulded into complex shapes.
